Emerge Demo Video

A near-60-second product demo built around emotional contrast - showing life before and after Emerge, with storytelling that makes the value feel human rather than technical.

Project Duration

54 seconds

Project Overview:

Originally scoped as a 30-second demo, the piece grew naturally to accommodate the story it needed to tell. Emerge's product centres on data ownership and consent - concepts that can easily feel abstract or cold. The approach was to anchor the video in a recognisable human moment, using a before-and-after structure to make the shift from frustration to control feel genuinely felt rather than just explained.

Visual & Motion Direction:

The visual direction contrasts two emotional states - the noise and friction of the "before" against the clarity and ease of the "after." Interface elements are used deliberately to carry meaning rather than just demonstrate features. Pacing slows and opens up as the story resolves, giving the product space to land.

Technical Execution:

Built in After Effects with custom UI animation throughout. The iPhone environment and app interface were constructed as animatable components, allowing precise control over how the product reveals itself across the narrative arc. Subtle motion design choices - easing, timing, layer depth - were used to reinforce the emotional shift between the two halves.

Final Output:

Delivered to Emerge and published on LinkedIn, where it was used as a primary brand asset.
